Divorce Services

Gina Aguinaga, LCSW specializes in helping children, adolescents and adults through difficult divorces and separations.

Going through a divorce is one of the most emotional and stressful life-changing events that you may experience. When your life is disrupted and you feel uncertain about the future, you may need help processing your emotions and coping with social, mental, legal and financial problems. Divorce is a major loss and it takes time to recognize your emotions and to process your grief.

Divorce is even more difficult when you have children. When talking to children about divorce you may never feel quite prepared. Children often feel confused, sad, angry and guilty. Many children do not need therapy, but some may require support to help them verbalize their thoughts and feelings. Children can survive and thrive after divorce if parents can find the right way to manage their relationships with their children and with each other.

When you are in the middle of a separation or divorce process, you may find yourself feeling very alone and unsure of what to do now. As a divorced parent myself, I understand personally the challenges that you may be facing. Along with education and professional experience in divorce, I am here to help you and your family through this process.
